France Take Over CEEES Presidency

At the 65th CEEES General Assembly, held at VALEO, La Verrière, France, on Tuesday 18th October 2016, responsibility for the CEEES Presidency and Secretariat were transferred from the German national society GUS to the French national society ASTE. The transfer occurred at the end of the meeting when the duties of the existing CEEES President (Dr Thomas Reichert) and Secretariat (Sabine Aref) were formally transferred. For the next two years the CEEES secretariat will be hosted by ASTE and led by Patrycja Perrin (Diese E-Mail-Adresse ist vor Spambots geschützt! Zur Anzeige muss JavaScript eingeschaltet sein!).

 

The new CEEES President is Prof. David Delaux, who is the Reliability Director at Valeo. He represents the French national society, Association pour le Développement des Sciences et Techniques de l'Environnement (ASTE). ASTE is one of the founder members of CEEES and is located at; 1 place Charles de Gaulle, F-78180 Montigny le Bretonneux, FRANCE (www.aste.asso.fr). The CEEES General Assembly was preceded, on the 18th October 2016, by a general meeting of all three CEEES Technical Advisory Boards. These Technical Advisory Boards discussed a number of issues including a mechanical and climatic Round Robin exercise proposed by ASTE. The meeting of Technical Advisory Boards concluded a guided tour of the Valeo research and test facilities at La Verrière, where automotive air conditioning system are developed and tested. The CEEES General Assembly was followed by an evening guided tour of Versailles (see photograph) and concluded with a meal at a Versailles restaurant.

The following day (Wednesday 19th October 2016) ASTE had arranged a CEEES Workshop which was held at the Mercure Paris Vaugirard Porte de Versailles. The topic for the Workshop was "Methods for tailoring environmental". This workshop was well attended by both CEEES national representatives and ASTE members. This CEEES Workshop was organised along ASTELAB which was held at the same location on the 20th October 2016. In the evening of the 19th October 2016, ASTE had arrange a boat trip along the Seine in Paris for attendees of both the CEEES Workshop and ASTELAB.
